Hopkins Student Wind Energy Team

At HSWET, our diverse backgrounds unite around one shared ideal: a passion for applying our individual pursuits towards a broader goal of creating a more environmentally sustainable way of living.

The Hopkins Student Wind Energy Team (HSWET), established in 2020, is a student-led club at the Johns Hopkins University dedicated to advancing wind energy through hands-on engineering, project development, and outreach initiatives.
What HSWETers Say
“In many ways, each of us at HSWET is like a floating turbine
—anchored in our own disciplines, drifting through the vast and uncertain waters of college life and future careers. We come from different backgrounds, powered by different currents of thought, but we’re held together by a shared foundation: the pursuit of renewable energy and a more sustainable world. Like an offshore wind farm, we thrive not in isolation but in formation—diverse in form, yet synchronized in purpose. Amid waves of challenge and winds of change, we’ve learned to turn movement into momentum, curiosity into creativity, and ideas into action. Together, we generate more than power; we generate possibility—for ourselves, for the next generation, and for a world that needs both rigor and joy in its solutions.”
